Database services install fails when install SQL server 2005 SP2

The error I got is:

MSP Error: 29537 SQL Server Setup has encountered the following problem: [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Cannot find the object 'dm_exec_query_resource_semaphores', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.. To continue, correct the problem, and then run SQL Server Setup again.

I tried to search internet, however, I couldn't get solution.

My SQL server 2005 is standard version, OS Windows server 2003 sp2, I am using Administrator account to install it.

You can refer this link, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918695 but it provides a solution for SQL 2005 SP1 installation.....just ensure that the master and resource database fiels reside in the same location prior to installing SQL 2005 SP2.......its just a suggestion, i am not sure this will solve your problem but you can give a try and revert back..........

The server time is wrong, for some reason, our sys admin guy set it to 2003, he reset the time, and reinstall the sp2 without selecting any feature, now, I installed it again with all features selected, it works now.

You can refer this link, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918695 but it provides a solution for SQL 2005 SP1 installation.....just ensure that the master and resource database fiels reside in the same location prior to installing SQL 2005 SP2.......its just a suggestion, i am not sure this will solve your problem but you can give a try and revert back..........

Activation Error which is solved. Now it is giving me the following

RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

see if they can handle it. Also, if the original database is still around, use DBCC CHECKDB to see
if it has any corruptions.

Run DBCC CheckDb command to see what is hoing on as well as running verify
backup upon completion just executes RESTORE VERIFYONLY
It seems that your backup a corrupted database

Database Restore failed, now inaccessible and can not restore.

I have seen this before. A 2000 restore fails, leaving the database thinking it is being restored but the restore job failed and errors when it is restarted. EM is clueless. I believe there is a proc to reset some flag. Can you share it with me?

if you have backup files, then try to restore it from QA. the problem may be when you restore the data file and log file ; the datafile step may be success and the log file may not. untill unless it find WITH RECOVERy option the database status will be "restoring" . So what you do is , take the backup set and restore it with someother name using WITH Move option

To get out of restoring, you will need to recover the database. Try:

restore database <db> with recovery

database if you specified that feature to be installed. Be sure that you
have permissions to create the database. Also check the Reporting Services

to create databases in. You can check this via Enterprise manager go to the
properties on the server node.
