I tried to search internet, however, I couldn't get solution.
My SQL server 2005 is standard version, OS Windows server 2003 sp2, I am using Administrator account to install it.
Thanks a lot,
Rex
Nobody answer my question yet
I am wondering it is caused by Windows server sp2? I saw the requirement to install SQL server sp2 is the OS is windows server 2003 sp1, my current version is Window server 2003 standard sp2, will this cause the problem? any microsoft professional has any idea of it?
Thanks,
Rex
|||You can refer this link, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918695 but it provides a solution for SQL 2005 SP1 installation.....just ensure that the master and resource database fiels reside in the same location prior to installing SQL 2005 SP2.......its just a suggestion, i am not sure this will solve your problem but you can give a try and revert back..........
|||Thanks for relpy, my database files are all in default location where master database are, this link doesnt solve my problem.
Thanks anyway.

The server time is wrong, for some reason, our sys admin guy set it to 2003, he reset the time, and reinstall the sp2 without selecting any feature, now, I installed it again with all features selected, it works now.
Thanks,
Rex
